4cam distributors

#1 Post by Olivier Lory »

Hello,
Strange thing, I've got two different distributors with the same Bosch reference:

VJSR4R3

Anyone already had this kind of funny situation?

Hi Jacques,
Not really familiar with the BMW F2 engine, strange that the previous owner modified the engraved inscription.
Don't see the utility just to mislead other people...

Salut Olivier
The distributor was modified probably for use in a pushrod or VW engine. it stated of life as the rightmost distributor in my picture. going from left to right a VW/pushrod, BM# F2 then a counter clockwise GS and the Vee Drive clockwise..
