Deck Lid Louvers

#1 Post by Michael Doyle »

The motor Deck lid with Louvers .. a Silver 1956 T1A Carrera 1500 GS .. GT class preproduction with factory Werkes (possible Paul Strahle) The louver discussion started at another category about early twin grill deck lids. Thought to bring it here.

License numbers WN V 1 + WN V 2 have Strahle connections. His famous Aquamarine Blue 1957 T1A Carrera coupe also wore WN V 2. Would like more information on the Silver one.

This is the 1957 Aquamarine Blue 1500GS Carrera of Paul Strahle. It was fit with GT equipment. Note 5 louvers on each side of the steel deck lid. I believe in Germany at this time a car owner could keep their license plate numbers personally to use from one car to their next. As is the case with the Silver 1956 Carrera carrying the WN V 2 license earlier.
