Who raced this car in California in the Speedster Wars? Looks to be California circa 1957. Thanks.

Six louvered lid so cannot have been taken in '57. Must be '59 or later. Wasn't this picture in one of the old registry magazines or is my mind playing tricks with me?

Hi Joris,

Thanks for responding. I don't know if it was in the magazine but I found this:

..yes, 6 louver side on a Carrera Speedster was 1959. Thinking it's the Santa Barbara Races, in May 1959 or Santa Maria Races in 1960, #81 Carrera Speedster with the legendary CSCC driver, Jay Hills.

Is this Speedster the same as originally owner and driven in Germany by Joe Buzzetta? --- while Joe was in the Army -- That was chassis number 81953. If so, where is the car today?

The Porsche in the first photo looks, probably, silver. Cool Kardex though. At some point the Buzzetta red GT was in the Ingram Collection. Maybe it still is? Here it is at Rennsport Reunion Laguna Seca 2015. Thanks.
