Albert: I agree-the turn signal was made to blink because it does not have a self-cancel ability. That's exactly how mine operates. I want to find out if there is a way to change mine to make it self cancel.

Just drive your PreA straight along. No turns.
Or buy an “A”
Or buy a little beeper for 2$$ and install it behind the dash as I did in my and most of our customers cars.
So you don’t forget your blinker and keep on driving a pre A

My 55 Speedster came with an A turn signal. I have a correct Pre A one that I'm thinking of installing but face the opposite dilemma I made the cancelation work for the A tun signal switch by adding the cancelation ring to the steering wheel and like the function of it and now I don't feel it is worth going back to a no cancelation switch. But having the little light on the tip might also be kind of cool.

So yes it is doable but not with the Pre-A switch. That I know of

Albert I would be interested in the location of that $2 beeper on the turn signal. Even my A cars don't always cancel and a little noise might be beneficial. Any recommend buzzer would be beneficial especial for us hard of hearing guys

Beeper is small like a piece of sugar. Just put it close to the blinker relais. must not be visible. Hidden somewhere behind the dash.

Take a 6Volt version. And whenever too loud (noisy) just put spme scotch tape or similar on the outlet hole.

Albert: Great idea. I just Googled "6 volt turn signal buzzer" and came up with many for sale.

There is also the 6v flasher relay option with an integrated beeper. If plugs right into the flasher socket a d the noise is hard to miss. No wires to run!

A Good Solution too. But some PreA people prefer to flash with a fifties original bimetallic flasher
