My Continential is one of the RHD cars mentioned and the Kardex lists it as being delivered as a "Continential"
It was the first 356 imported and sold new here in New Zealand and has plenty of factory fitted extras such as a steering lock..

I have begun posting photos of Continentals on the Photo Gallery section of the website (www.356continentalregistry.com). If the current owner of any car whose photo is included does not want the photo included, please let me know and I will remove it. Also, if any photographer would like to claim copyright to any photo included, please let me know and I will remove it.

I just bought my first Porsche, a 1955 Continental. Glad to see it's already on the Continental Registry. Three photos of 53434 are already posted. The car will remain in Florida under my ownership.

Glad to see you bought Jason's car. Would you please go to www.356continentalregistry.com and fill out your information on the Registration Form so that we have a record of who now owns 53434.

Thanks,

My 55 1500 coupe (VIN:52880) (Mfg Date: Dec.27/1954) was imported by Hoffman according to the Kardex.
But the Kardex does not show anything about continental and there is no "continental" script on fenders. (not sure there is traces of holes or not)

Can anyone tell me whether my 55 coupe is continental or there are any other possibility?

In my understanding, all 55 year model 1500 coupe imported by Hoffman is continental,
and I know Kardex does not always show the continental record even it is continental.

Tak

You are correct that all Continentals do not have the Continental designation noted on the Kardex. We don't know if all 1955 model year cars imported by Hoffman were Continentals. The best advice I can give you is to look at the inside of the fenders to see if there is evidence of holes being filled. If you find such evidence, I would appreciate it if you register with the Continental Registry at www.356continentalregistry.com.

Jim

Thank you so much for your valuable information.
I will check and will register the continental Registry if I find some evidences of holes on my fenders.
