So the paint is pretty thick on those. But 013 is the part number for these Südrad wheels. DIN is only stamped on the Südrads as well. If you ever need to repaint those, strip them down to the bare metal and you'll find the Südrad logo and the date stamp as well I suspect.

Thanks David , since they are original Sudrad i will recover
the logo, good time now in winter . They have extra wholes for the beauty rings ( 55 continental ) were this drilled rims offered for customers asking for beauty rings ? That would mean if a customer decided for beauty rings ( from 51 onwards ?) they needed to do so when ordering the new car ?

all the best Tom

Good choice Tom.

Only cars delivered from the factory with turbo rings had their wheels drilled for them. Cars without the rings from the factory had wheels without the holes drilled. Think almost all Speedsters, plus the majority of 1953-55 coupes and cabs delivered to Europe.

Turbo rings seemed to be a Hoffman-motivated request. Most Hoffman cars from late 1951 through late 1952 had them. The USA deluxe models of the 1953 model year had them. And then the Continentals of 1955 had them. They caught on amongst other importers too, but not widely. You rarely see them on any European cars in period photos.
