2 piece case casting dates

#1 Post by Paul Jorgensen »

Below are what I believe are the case casting dates, the one inside the generator tower is 5 7 14 The one next to the tacho drive is 6 5 ? The 3rd stamping is either not there or just unreadable.
Does anyone now how to work out the dates & the 3rd stamping, is it common to be missing (the one next to the tacho drive.)

Cheers
Paul

Hello Paul,
First circle is the day. Second circle is the month. Third circle denotes the shift and year; first numeral is the shift, second numeral denotes the last numeral of the year.
Example: 5 7 14
5th August first shift 1954
Hope this helps,
Al
