Ibrahim,
What color would you call this? Painted to match for the 3rd time on a 55 speedster 80569. Matched what was already there in honor to my parents. Second Painting was in 67 after a rear ender.
Nice Day in SO Cal so we are going for a spin on our anniversary.

Re: How many 54~55 Turkish red cars out there ?
I am sorry for not participating earlier after looking at all of this. Wonderful car Albert, nicely done. I too have a TR coupe though for the last 48 years it has been painted coffee cream brown with dark chocolate trim, dash, bumpers and such. The original color was Turkish Red. I was smart enough to retain some of It for prosterity. It has been on pallet racking since summer of 85 it's last plate. I bought the car soon after leaving my Navy commitment in 71 after I was talked into it. Someone had a Corvair engine installed at some point before me. It came with a Super 90 and I do not remember what GB, 716 single mount I think. What I do remember it would do a donut if you even thought about it. Fast forward to two weeks ago, down off the rack, finished taking it apart and sent it to the stripper for a through cleaning. Keep in mind it is almost rust free with perfect 3 mm gaps still on the doors and close on the rear lid. The hood, well someone was trying to fly it and the hood came up and just imagine what the cowl looked like, aweful. I did not know how to repair it 40 odd years ago. Along the way found a cowl to replace it with. No rust, none in the longitudinals, less than 36 square inchs of rust in the trailing and leading edges around the doors. There is none in the bottom of the doors. Now the floor is solid too, the whole thing is solid, some of it is going to require a lot of dolly work or as in the case of the solid battery box floor and tunnel floor new metal. It has just been pushed around too much and no way to dolly it to acceptable. In some ways it is sad even to me that it cannot be made original, that I let so many original bits go, so a lot of extra work to be a purist. It's soul is an outlaw long before it was fashionable, much more fun for me to drive again while I still can. This is probably enough said. Thanks
