Hi all. At last paint is finished - engine in - wiring complete and it’s sitting on wheels ( temp while I wait for painter to finish my original set). Headliner has been installed and a trial fit done for dash . Interior underway and glass ready for install . My thanks to Rick Albro for his wonderful work on my dash knobs and door handles - more to come

Hi Ross, I thought you sold the car 🙈. Looks beautiful. Is that the original engine?
My restorer put the front blinker into the wrong position. They have Not to be positioned directly under the headlight’s screw! I have to change this some time.

Hi Oliver , how are you ? My engine is a few numbers off the Original engine and is correct 1500 Super with rollerbearing crank . Love this car / I’ve owned her since finding it at the back of a panel shop in New York in 2004

Guys can anyone tell me the correct style of fuel tank dipstick for a late 53 car - I’ve seen the flat stick with markings and also a round stick with a Porsche crest at top ?

Hi Ross, I am fine cause I changed the front blinker position. Now I am ok again 😉. Your maroon dash looks quite dark 🤔

I have not yet repainted it in the front because the holes only varied about 7 mm. They are still there, but are covered by the turn signal base. I will do it sometime.
At the moment I am riding without my 16-inch rims painted in radium green metallic, because the 15-inch rims with 195/60 r15 are much easier to drive.

Ok, I am going to send you guys an invoice to cover my expenses for a new keyboard! I ruined it drooling while looking at the beautiful Radium Green. Stunning color!!

Now I will look away- so I can replenish my fluids and maybe go make some more boring generator/fan belts.

Really great color and restoration efforts in this string of posts- congrats.

Not worth to show it. it‘s a 356 SC engine. I am still looking for my original case.

That engine would probably enjoy taking advantage of some skinny 16” tires!
