LEDs for teardrop lights

I installed the LEDs Jules makes and am very pleased. Also have his LEDs in my instruments. They really “brighten” things up & are easy to install.

A great way to increase visibility amongst distracted drivers.

I had a challenge getting one bulb inserted that involved having to remove the left tail light unit & replacing the socket - that was a learning experience & cost about a week but I did it!

Here’s the results.

The CU Layer LED inserts for Tear Drops have adjustable legs to compensate for this issue.

Tim - mine was a mess - I wound up harvesting a stock OEM bulb socket with a bullet connector from another tail light but if that hadn’t worked I’d have purchased this one - ultimately will get a new set when car gets painted.

The adapter below was what a previous owner installed and was a different bayonet style bulb.

Ken, could you point me in the direction of Jules. I would not mind brightening up the rear lights and the front indicators. That said I need a combined stop and tail light for the rear of mine

Thank you for posting about your upgrade Ken! Looks great :)

Graeme, i can help you with your setup, email me at vintagetraderaz at gmail dot com. I also am working on an upgrade for early 911s , those are barely visible in modern traffic as well.

The turn signal relay Jules provided is great!

Recently installed Jules's amber LED's in my front turn signals...big difference! Amber is much more identifiable as a "turn signal" IMHO.

Thank you for your feedback all! Here a quick impression of the difference for the front turn signal. This is with my 'vintage white' LED installed. Has the same yellow hue as the stock bulb, just much brighter. No 'modern refrigerator light white'...

Dash light LED upgrade available as well for the dark days ahead. 6v and 12v, plug and play just like the exterior lights!
