Pre Mat Zenith Float Level Gauge tubing replacement

#1 Post by Ron LaDow »

For the last month or so, local sources for the vinyl tubing used with the PreMat Zenith Float Gauges have stocked it wound pretty tightly on a spool. As a result, it really isn't round, but flattened in the axis 90* to the spool centerline, which looks to make accurate determination of the fuel level problematic. While we have not heard any concerns from our customers, we have not been pleased with the product.
We've located a source which has the tubing more loosely coiled and is in far better shape to deliver reliable measurements; see attached:

Regardless of the nominal size, the replacement is a bit larger on ID and OD, so there will be ny-ties included with the replacements, and you'll probably have to drill the locating tab.
We're working back through the orders and mailing replacement tube lengths to those we can find; if you have bought a Zenith Float Level Gauge (or a set of them) recently, please contact us to make sure you get the up-graded tubing and please include the Invoice number if you have it:

Sorry for the inconvenience, but want our customers to receive the best we can deliver.
(Added by edit): a 19/64" drill of the existing tab will give you a snug fit on the new tube for good data.
