I get very few calls for people looking for a certain headlight lense, people don't seem to know or care.

You betcha Jim! See you next week, will be a blast as always!!Jim Breazeale wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 7:30 pmThe real question is whether is there is any interest by you and Eric for the object pictured.Joris Koning wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 1:23 am Eric,
There is nothing wrong with your lenses. They are beautiful and I have some sets myself. They are however not authentic, in terms of markings etc. for 63 and earlier cars. Will they work on those cars, yes, are they a quality product at a very fair price, also yes.
I'll see both of you in a little town north of LA, Ca pretty soon.
Ciao
Jim

I see I am late to the game here. That said I would like to have a new set to replace my very pitted originals.

Still in the works, problem is that Hella is very unresponsive on the licensing. They were not like this in the past

I think Rainer Cooney at the Spyder Factory is already having these reproduced.

I've had the molds made for the later A style made, same as the pre-A and early A but without the ring in the center. I'm still waiting for the glass company to come thru with the early ones before I pull the trigger to make the later ones. Early lenses were to be done already and are now running behind which is par for the course for this company. I'll place an ad when I'm ready to order the later style to gauge the volume needed then get a price. These will be more money than the early version because the molds have yet pay for themselves. All work on these lenses are being done in the USA and made by a glass company in business since the Civil War ( the one in the 1800's not the recent one) .

To clarify, when I am talking about later ones I mean the 58-62 version not the small logo versions done by Rainer for the 53-57 cars. On those, they are great and I have bought some myself from him.

joris, I am interested in a set of pre-a and eventualy t2 lenses if you continue with the production... I ordered a set from Rainer but if I can buy in the EU I prefer this. This saves me the import and administration costs that are high here and makes a big difference. thanks!

Pre-A to early A lenses to be shipped to me this Friday. If you have not placed an order or sent a check this is the time to do so as the numbers produced are small and very few sets are left. Rainer

Isn't an 'Authentic' Reproduction and oxymoron ?

Are any more going to be reproduced? I ran across a '55 with original headlight lenses and they look like the reproductions. Here's a photo of her originals. Note no alpha numeric characters in the upper brow and it has the vestigial oval in the center.

I need a pair of late A lenses, has anyone started reproducing these yet?
