Fish tacos are the bestist. If I lived closer I would be in line.

Standing inline for those fish tacos I would be wearing a mask and keeping my six foot distance as Trevor has requested. Jack Staggs is a West Coast 356 legend and we need to keep him safe.

Btw, the carpet set with the red piping that you so generously gave me, I gave to a customer, now friend, in need and he installed it in his car - a 60 Coupe, bought brand new by Joe Leoni. Adam - Of course!

I recently finished up the battery box and center tunnel on a 55 Speedster. The floor from Stoddard worked out really well. (I hand made the center tunnel with sway bar depression and various flanges.) Stoddard’s floor is 18 gauge and it was a little over-sized so I could trim it to fit.

Here’s the 55 after being painted, seam sealed and undercoated.

I thought I’d share a heater tube/longitudinal/front & rear closing panel/rear frame repair I did recently. What makes this particular repair different is:
1. I was able to do the heater tube in one straight tube through the frame rail.
2. Weld the whole heater tube, brackets and rear frame rail in as one sub-assembly.

By doing the repair this way it allowed me access to get 100% of the tube welded to the frame. Lastly, the car is a T5 so it would have had the paper/fabric sound deadener. I’m using a Cherry Bomb glass pack muffler for the sound deadening, which also brought back the structural rigidity like the Pre A and A cars had.

Good idea, the muffler will make that area much stronger, I would have added another bracket before I put the outer longotudional on, specifically at the front end to stiffen the entire repair. nice job,

The heater tube isn't a structural element, and I wouldn't like the weight of the Cherry Bomb. But when we did that job on my '56 installing the brackets was difficult. In retrospect I wish we had removed the heater tube and replaced it with the brackets as a unit as you did. We added another bracket to better support the jack spur.

Nice job! I should have had you do my 912 which has been in the body shop for over 4 years for not very much work - but maybe you're strictly 356.
