Our garage access is a single-wide ramp, while the inside is at least 2-cars wide.
My neck, at a certain age, makes popcorn sounds on rotation beyond a certain number of degrees, which limits the use of the C; backing out often means more rotation than is comfortable.
Lunch today with a Pre Mat customer (to whom I'm also a customer); he suggested it is not a big issue, including the Pre Mat "Drill No Holes" dictat. A search said he's probably right:

Comments? It would be wonderful to use the C again on a regular basis.

I have been thinking about the same issue. But, all the ones I found are 12v. So, has anyone found a 6v compatible unit? Alternatively, I could go with a 6v>12v converter but would like to keep it simple.

You’d need two converters, one for the camera, one for the display, or one that powered up from with the backup light with a wire running forward to the display

Most of the cameras, GPS and other electronics that have USB Ports actually work on 5VDC. the power adapters just drop the voltage down for use. There are several cheap endoscopes with color cameras and have a built in WIFI transmitter and attach to your phone. You have to make a power cable but my GPS works on 6v just fine.

Good point but the camera runs directly off the 12v backup light wire. It may drop to 5v internally but it’s not obvious.

Found a source with a phone number which offers the possibility of speaking with a human who might be knowledgeable (I remember calling Carillo and speaking with Fred). If it turns out to be true, you guys get the poop.
BTW, calls to Pre Mat get answered or returned within an hour or so by a human.
