Why is Norway leading the world in EV(not hybrid) cars? Because the government is forcing them on the citizens.
But why? The political goal is for the whole of the Norwegian car fleet to be zero-emission (electric or hydrogen) by 2025. Which means that there are all sorts of incentives to get people to go green: purchase subsidies, cheaper parking, tolls and ferry tickets, and access to bus and taxi lanes.
How are they generating the electricity and what are the emission numbers?
Here is the entire article:

I was wondering about cold weather battery performance. Not good.

I favor freedom for people to drive what they want but I can't afford to help them pay for their cars.

My postings has nothing to do about freedom to drive what you like, I welcome that freedom more than most people.
Regarding your article about cold & batteries, "Michelle Williams posting on anonymous news site", that is not a lot of credibility in my book.

Slightly off topic - but while I finish my 1963 Outlaw, I've been converting a 1974 V12 e-type to electric. As of yesterday, rolling. Learned a lot along the way.

If they stop selling gasoline I’d consider electrifying my 356, but that’s the only reason I’d do it.

We lost Dennis - the original poster / question asker long ago..
but for a North American E solution for Porsche replica, try the fellows in Vancouver

They likely do it very well.
