I always thought the holes that the bumper brackets pass through always looked unfinished.

I have seen many vehicles with a purpose made rubber grommet which the brackets pass through, but not for the 356.

Has anyone fashioned anything or found anything to place on these holes either with the bumpers in place or removed?

We welded them closed during my outlaw build as I knew they would never go back on

Ron,

Thanks for the pictures.

A beautiful car, and some engineering with regards to the exhaust system.

Did the sama as you Martin. A wheel center with Porsche crest
and a bolt with epoxy. This way I could also fasten the inside
bracket. Painted them to same color as car.
Still looking for really small reflectors to be mounted in the
original hole under bumbet bracet hole.

Will these glass reflectors work? https://www.jpcycles.com/product/970-61 ... reflectors
There should be four in the set.
There's also a plastic version: https://www.jpcycles.com/product/970-66 ... reflectors

Hey thanks, I'll check that option. The holes bother me little bit.

Solutions for where the bumper comes out at the back of the car would be great.

I see you have rubber inserts Juha, do these fit well, where were these sourced.

Eric, Probably my poor photo, have no rubber insert, only a short piece of fuel line split
in the bottom of opening, otherwise they are open.

Mark, The supplier on Amazon don't deliver to Finland, have to try to find elsewhere.
Found a Harley shop in Germany, but they didn't specify shipping. But now I know what
to look for. Thanks.

When faced with the same problem of what to do with the holes I came up with a simple cost effecctive solution. I did not want to draw attention to the area so I used all the existing bumper mounting rubber and hardware except used a carriage bolt painted body color to attach to the factory L bracket. It probably would have looked better if I would have used a thinner rubber on the outside instead of the factory rubber. This method retains the factory support for the fender. Sorry I don't have a close up picture of the area.

Here's a solution I just stumbled into. Ace Hardware (US) sells "faucet covers" that were a perfect fit and already had the attached bolt.
