Antenna and Mirror location clarification

#1 Post by Jeff Alberti »

Just recently purchased a 58 coupe. Mirror and antenna were not included in parts tubs but old holes were. Kardex doesn’t mention neither. Not sure what mirror would mount here? and also is it common to have an antenna on the right side?

Thanks for any and all info!

The dealers usually added most mirror and radios at the time of sale. The fender mount and hole distance you have, I would say they were probably Talbot Berlin mirrors.

Thanks John, wasn't too sure about a fender mount on a 58, the door has zero holes.

Antenna is typically on the left. If the Talbot style mirror appeals to you, see if it is useful mounted on those holes. I’m guessing that’s not great.
