Fuel Pump Diaphragm for Travel Kit?
I ran across an old easy style fuel pump diaphragm and rebuild kit. Wondering if this is similar to what came in the A Travel Kits, I have a DVG paper sleeve that is crumbling and useless, but this one looks period.

Steve,
IMO the very early kits may have had the DVG sleeves. There were several versions of the Pierburg but I use the Pierburg sleeve or tri-fold for my kit.
Hope this helps, if you would can you post a picture of the DVG sleeve?

Victor, Guess it really doesn't mater as long as it is "period", since there seems to be so many variations and additions by owners. Here's what is left of the DVG paper folder, from a 57-59 travel kit. I have had the Pierburg folders for the later fuel pumps and have a few Elle boxes both small and big. I found the latest one with the bubble plastic cover and a semi- rebuild kit. It was in a box with the shipping date of 1962 from Atlas VW in San Francisco, along with two carb kits for Zenith.
