Question on correct Tach

#1 Post by John Wurner »

I have a Tach for sale on the registry, and the date stamp is not readable.
Tach is a super and its the same as one in my late 59 Super Cabrio, with the turn signal indicators at the bottom.
My 58 car does not have the indicators at the bottom.
Did Porsche use these in the late 59 Super engine cars, or are both wrong?

I'm no expert on tachs, but the arrow indicator is definitely post-A model. T-6?

As Vic said the green turn signal arrow means T6. The green zone starting at 2500 means later and the 5K redline indicates a Super. Assuming that is the original tachometer face.

According to Brett's book, the tach face is for a '63 B Super.
