Eberspaecher Heater Spare Tire Pan

#1 Post by Ted Hengst »

In assisting the Registry technical committee with the magazine documentation, I ran across the following "Whatzits" (formally a regular feature in each issue of the Registry magazine) in the Sep/Oct 2000 issue . Has anyone seen one of these pans for the spare tire of an Everspaecher heater equipped car? My understanding is Neil is no longer in business. Since my car has an Eberspaecher heater, I would be interested in obtaining one -- if they exist. Thanks ... Ted

I saw one for sale several months ago. I can't remember the site; eBay, the Samba? I've never seen one in person.

Hi Ted,

I am a bit suspect if that was a factory item. Have you checked the parts book for it?

Hi Joris -- Neil gives the part number in the article. I did a quick search of the parts manual and could not find a matching parts number in either the heater or the accessories section. Will look again one of these days when I have time to wade through the parts manual. I posted pictures of the heater fuel pump and relays on the main talk section, but forgot to get the measurements for you.

I even checked eBay Germany but didn't see one listed. Maybe one of our European members can keep their eyes open for one. I suspect more of the heaters were installed there than here in the States.
