Quick question, will a B/C muffler fit on an A car?
Are there modifications that have to be made?
Thanks in advance, John

I think it is too wide to fit the earlier cars. I believe you would have to shorten each end by 3-4 inches, which is not that tempting.

Thanks, Martin, that would not be worth while.

Better measure the space to verify this, but I think it is correct.

Re: B/C muffler on A car
My 59 A had a C/SC muffler on it when I purchased it. The C/SC muffler is about an inch too long and the upper edges interfere with the lower Carrera engine tray. Mine had some notches cut in the Carrera engine tray to make it fit. I had to fabricate patch pieces to repair the damage.

+1 A B/C muffler can be made to fit by bashing in the top corner of the ends. (Not something I would do today.)
