Hi All,
I have a pair of 356 Rear disc brake tubes.
It has dawned on me that I could make a little business out of copying these hubs.....as in getting some cast and machined..... Then finding the right tubing and other parts....( stamped ) and putting together a set of tubes for sale.
I don't now much of anything about 356.....and wanting some input from those knowledgeable about disc brake conversions.
I realize the start up cost would be pretty high....and probably the sales pretty low....but, as a stand-alone part, would the disc brake tubes, be a salable item?
What are other 356 owners that want to change to discs doing about this part?
Thanks,
Leland.

Leland, don't bother, all the tubes are the same, early VW and all drum brake cars. Only the bearing housings are different.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

And now some of the cars that had C disks added years ago are getting converted back to drums to be more original.

Those hubs are not simple castings. I believe they are forged. Don't think a casting would be strong enough. Don't bother.
