(reflector provision holes below bumper however, but that’s normal right?)

Here...

North American spec. All 356 B/C models have the reflector holes under the bumper. The dark red lenses are most likely the originals.

Jules and Hanns,

To follow up, here is a reply I received just this AM from a gentleman at Porsche Salzburg/classic. Sounds like it lines up more w/ Hanns theory. I still have some questions, but things may be getting a bit clearer! Thanks again for everyone’s help here!!! 🍻

That is cool info. I will gladly admit I have not seen the 'bel' on many tourist delivery cars.

Thanks for helping so many of us get the Kardex for our cars David. People may be starting to realize that 1. Kardex is a great deal on cost basis and 2. They may not be available in the future as contacts dry up.

@all

"Belohnung" in german is "reward" in english.
There are no terms "Belohnung" in business german, dealing with invoices and receipts, clients and accountants.
"Recompensation" does come closer to the "process" done there.

What is the issue:
it is about paying money for a warranty claim to a third party, or charging a third party with the "providing of service"
All is needed for accounting.
Who is getting which commission payment for conclusion of contract.

In this case:
the sales contract for the 356 was done between ? and VW Canada. I still assume that the Volkswagen Porsche Holding in Salzburg was involved, and not necessarily Porsche Stuttgart. Porsche Salzburg was the much greater entity and was involved in the overseas business and had the direct contract with Volkswagen Wolfsburg. Part of this contract has also been, that Porsche Salzburg had been responsible for the worldwide expansion of Volkswagen dealerships.
Porsche Stuttgart did not have this contract!
but to come back to the case:
Porsche Stuttgart was delivering the 356, but the costs of warranty claims - in this case the two free services - had been invoiced to VW Canada and had been subtracted on their quarterly bonus or billings. in short: VW Canada had been charged with the two free services -
to charge s.o. with sth is in german "belasten", hence the shortening "bel".

The other possibility is "bel - iefern" - to supply ....but this does not make sense in the accounting senses.
even if there is written "Natural-Ersatz" - the financial expense is listed in "deutsche Mark"....

someone has to pay for it.....

;)

interesting theory. How would that apply to this one? Salzburg is not involved, Just the dealer Rossel in Wiesbaden.

Jules, The Pagani Kardex is the same situation with two handlers requiring an accounting adjustment.

David Pateman wrote: Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:26 pm Jules has the right of it. It has to be Tourist Delivery. The I and II are the first two free services, so this indicates where the person was when the services were done. VW Canada on the right says that they paid the dealers for the services under warranty. BTW, I have looked through a dozen or more Kardex sold in Canada, and this is the only one with any Salzburg reference.
Dave
Thanks for all the Kardex enquiries, it is almost overwhelming the last while.
David,

I realized I never thanked u for ur inputs here on my Kardex post a while back, thank you sir!! Cheers.

Throughout the history of the Tourist Delivery programs, Porsche offered the possibility of various drop-off points in Europe that could be used to expedite shipment when the customer was done driving the car in Europe. Perhaps Gertrude left the car at Porsche Salzburg simply to have it shipped to Canada from there. I would think the Austrian distributor for Porsche would be a logical and safe drop off point.
