Searching Porsche 356 AT1 bumper (ORIGINAL)

#1 Post by Cedric Winters »

Hello,

I'm new here. I'm still looking for an original front and rear bumper for a 356 AT1.

Can someone help me here :).

Best regards,
Cedric

Ignoring over rider mounting holes, if any, Front T1s and T2s are the same. Rears differ only in that the T2s have exhaust cut outs. Unless you get pretty lucky, you are better off with repros. Fitting any bumper is a surprising amount of work.

My '57 T1, had the full width right to left, single piece over rider, my Friend Spikes '58 T2, built in late '57, has the first year right and left separated over riders...

Here are pics of my former '56 T1 front & rear bumpers. SFAIK, all US spec cars (T1 & T2) had the over rider bars.
Good luck in finding some. The only ones I have seen recently were very expensive, so, as Harlan says, repo's might be the best bet.

There was a set that came up for sale on Thesamba.com a couple days ago. They were asking $7,600 I think for them.
