European Porsche 356 A 1956

#1 Post by Cedric Winters »

Hello everyone,

I’m starting the restauration of my European 1956 built 356A.

I want to make it as authentic as possible to I’m searching more info about some parts.

Which headlights, color of beahive taillights, what kind of bumper, outside mirror etc.

Thanks for your help,
Best,
Cedric

You might buy the book called "Neil's Book The 356A Porsche", available at the Goodie Store (356 Registry) although this is a non European car.

A few shots of J.G.Howe's 2 time Manhattan Trophy winner now owned by a Mr.Seinfeld out here in East Hampton. 1956 European, as correctly badged. The craftsmanship and quality of preparation of this car was so stunning and ultimately educational that it started me on a 50 year quest for that level of excellence on my own cars... I'm not joking when I say that John used to take those wheels to bed with him to work on detail. He was way ahead of his time.
