I believe it is across the flat (i.e. a 12mm wrench will fit that nut instead of the regular 13mm wrench.)Harlan Halsey wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 3:48 am David and Craig,
I'm not sure what atf means but I can assure you that the copper plated 12mm mechanical lock nuts used on Mercedes Benz, at least that's where I found them, work fine for a very long time.

Re: Nutty Questions
Not to belabor this, but do know the length and / or part number for the 6mm bolts? Per the images from the parts catalog, I am not able to see where they are identified. Thanks.Craig Richter wrote: ↑Mon Jul 06, 2020 12:24 am is held on with a 6mm bolt almost exactly where number 1 is pointing. There is also one more 6mm bolt holding it on near the fuel pump if you had a picture.

Re: Nutty Questions
I believe that the bolt that attaches the flapper box the the heat exchanger is M6X12 (12mm long). It should be accompanied with a 6mm wave washer. How many of the M8 nuts do your need (2?). Also, how many of the M6X12 bolts do you need. I can supply them. PM me at hiway9999@hotmail.com

Re: Nutty Questions
While not original, these seemed like the correct spec and finish so I ordered some. Be aware that a 12 mm wrench will not fit on these despite what the description says, and they are much darker in color than the photo on the website.David Jones wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 7:41 pm Lifetime supply, ...

Isn't it now Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives? Sounds like a great picnic get-together. I'll bring the chips.Doug McDonnell wrote: ↑Mon Aug 03, 2020 6:37 pm Geoff You mean it's not Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms?

Re: Nutty Questions
They added the "E" back in the 70s, but those of us that dealt with them back then still refer to them as the ATF. It was quite an experience having an agent come out to check our powder magazines who had only inspected wineries. The guy who came to check our Sunset Magazines (no pun intended) insisted that he keep his firearm on his person. Said it was regulations. I handed him the keys to the magazine but asked that he not go inside until I was a safe distance away. They got better (and a lot smarter) eventually.
