Steering Column Mounting
Does anyone have a picture of the sheet metal mount that joins the front firewall to the dashboard to which the steering column bracket is attached? I need to make one for a 1960 Roadster. Cheers

Re: Steering Column Mounting
I assume you are referring to call out number 16 in the illustration displayed below. The Roadster version differs from the Cpe /Cab. Neither part is available in new condition. Perhaps someone out there can supply you a coupe version which you can modify for your Roadster.

Re: Steering Column Mounting
I have a 1960B t5 coupe and I’m not sure how to mount the steering column to the dash. The parts manual show two type of possible mounts - part number 31 and 34. I have the clamshell column with embedded studs. Does this just mount to the underside of the dash with no brackets and some nuts behind the dash to secure? Or do I need the metal bracket (see picture) with captive nuts for behind the dash or do I require what looks like a solid bracket that mounts to the column under the dash or both combined? When I look at other cars it looks like no bracket. Any help would be appreciated.
