Let's see....... 33k miles divided by 44 years, and 2nd owner. You didn't get to really enjoy that car. Of course, NY generally means to me that your driving year for classic cars is shorter than ours out west. (Of course, my NY time was at Plattsburgh, so I'm probably warped a bit by that experience.)

Wes, You're making 2 mistakes. Number one is to assume that pleasure is derived from distance, and number 2 is to believe that this was my only Porsche, or of other machines to occupy my time.
I assure you I enjoyed every minute of my ownership of that car, and it was never a garage Queen.

I was kinda pulling your leg, Dick. I apologize if I offended you.

😊 Yes, I was a bit surprised but in no way was I offended. No problem, my friend.
To your point though, as this car went from being a toy to a financial asset I didn't quite get as much fun out of driving it for fear of what might happen to it, which was really a shame. Of course I raced my RSK as hard as I could even though it was considerably more valuable.

Point(s) well taken Dick. I think most of us who have had these cars through the years have found them going from either a toy or daily transportation to being a financial asset. That can be a good thing if money is the main interest or a bad thing when you quit having fun with it because of its value. Getting back to the topic of the thread, I think Harlan pretty much hit nail on the head regarding matching numbers or period correct. If numbers match, great. If they don't, go for what is best for you and let the next owner figure out what's best for him.

Oh, and I truly envy the rest of your stable.....
