Which Champagne Yellow is correct?
Both cars have been repainted. The left a bit lighter than the right.

Re: Which Champagne Yellow is correct?
Hard to say but based on various online color samples, it is likely more a darker of the two.
Here is a Wilhoit color sample: http://www.willhoitautorestoration.com/ ... el6405.jpg
I should mention my 356 is champagne yellow and depending on time of day, angle of the sun, etc the shade jumps around from light/bright to a darker tone.

The one on the right almost looks like Condor yellow to me. Your car in your avatar looks much paler and correct to my eyes. Not that looking on a screen means much.

Lighter seems more correct to me. If asked, I would say that Champagne is a very pale yellow.

The screens on our devices are notorious for having a wide variation in screen color tones. I would go with Wilhoit's color chart as indicated in Thomas Unger's post above. The Champaign yellow C that we bought new in '64 was closer to the darker car in the OP's pictures. Unfortunately I only have a few black and white photos of it.
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....

Re: Which Champagne Yellow is correct?
Hey there, I remember when you bought that in BAT because I was an early bidder, and saw the car in person in Vero Beach, noting it was original paint and interior. Did you ever get the engine built and put back in so it could be driven? Just curious, what was the latest in the car.Ibrahim Kuzu wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 11:23 am Now,You got it Doug...Thanks...Coffee worked...

Hi James,
Good to hear from you.
Yes, we did put all back together .Not in the car yet...All parts were as 41 K original miles.Crank was standard etc.
My apologies from Bob.
Subject is Color difference ...I hope my car and sample paint can (which is still good) help to see the difference...

Re: Which Champagne Yellow is correct?
IK, no problem. Certainly, camera, sun angle and computer screens can add uncertainty, but from your photos it appears the lighter one may be closer to the factory.

Ibrahim’s picture looks just right. To me the first two are both much too intense.

Re: Which Champagne Yellow is correct?
Could there be variations in color based upon what year they were painted and fading due to age and sun?
