Tire date codes

#1 Post by Don Gale »

Guess some things don't get better with age. Dates matter even when stored. I bought this set of XAS's in the mid-70's and hasn't been driven since 1979. At least they're tube type, still measures 29 psi as it sits, blew within the last 24 hours while sitting in the garage, wondered why the dogs were barking.

I can only imagine if you were driving the car when the tire blew! Check those date codes!
