Looks like something is seriously wrong here. It’s way out of alignment. Is there any way the brake pedal can move to the right 1/2”?

I don’t see how - brake pedal bump stop is where it’s supposed to be - only option I see is to move washer or create an offset - I’m wondering if a previous collision shifted alignment?

Actually it’s more aligned - but still off - I turned rod that goes into m/c counter clockwise & pedal itsel works great - I’m focusing on master cylinder attachment to firewall - something is misaligned when rod hits you he m/c.

A spacer on the left stud would help the MC line up with the pushrod.

Reading on Samba that pushrod length varied with different manufacturers of master cylinders - I may be on to something. Spacers a good suggestion but I’d like to find smaller 13mm nuts as not a lot of threads coming through bulkhead from pedal bracket.

Make sure that there is only 1 large washer where the brake pedal slides on the boss. Sometimes the washer will stick to the side of the base.

I just checked my car, it is as cockeyed as yours. I guess that’s how they are made.
I’d look at how the pushrod enters the piston. There should be enough space that only the tip of the rod touches, and that the side of the rod is not rubbing in the hole.

Think I may have solved my problem - out of curiosity I removed the pedal pushrod shaft from brake to m/c and put it in a drill press - ran it on slowest mode and it is definitely bent. Not sure how it happened but bent it is. If there was a way to post a video, I'd show you but alternatively you can see it on the FB 356 Registry page.
