Need hard to find tension sprig

#1 Post by Leo Dreisilker »

I need a hard to find tension spring for a 356 A engine. The part number is 369-081-10 and is item 20 on the attached diagram. I have searched Stoddard, Aase, Sierra, Samba, Ebay, Adam, Carb Rescue and many others. My engine guy has searched too. Solex Carbs are on the engine. I hope someone with a parts stash can find one. Please advise. Thank you.

Maybe someone can give you the dimensions of an original spring then find a suitable replacement.

The Wolfsburg West VW Okrasa Head Kit has a similar linkage and a spring which I am pretty sure will work.
