Anyone with a 356 in the Alamogordo, NM area?

#1 Post by Jurgen Amtmann »

I'm doing a restauration on my 64C coupe at home in Alamogordo, NM and am running into a few assembly problems because I did not take enough photos before I disassembled certain parts. Is there anyone in my area (within an hour's drive, or so) that has a 356 that I can look at. My biggest problem is in the area of door windows. I am a member of the Zia Club, in Albuquerque, but that is a 4 hour drive since I moved. Jürgen Amtmann

Carlos,I think that you just saved me untold hours of travel time. My 64C coupe is as original as they come, I bought it in Germany in '64. I'll give you a call soon. And many thanks. Jürgen

Brian, Good to hear that there are at least 3 356 owners here in the area. I don't get to the Las Cruces area often, so I'll call Carlos and you and we can arrange a time and place. Jürgen

Jurgen and Brian, I have a friend here in Las Cruces with a 64C coupe, so that makes 4 of us so far.

Door windows and the little pieces like the door top chrome fuzzy strips are not a lot of fun to do correctly. I put together my 14 July 1964 dated coupe. Let me know if I can help.
