Deck Lid Grills

Is the fresh air coming in or the heated air going out from the grills?

I would think, by examining the sheet metal exits on bottom, that the air is coming into the engine compartment, through the deck vent (vents T6) where the fan brings it onto the heads and out the bottom ports. When you turn the engine off, the vent (vents T6) allow heat to escape.
