Daryl,
Is that what they call a ‘Louisville Slugger’ steering wheel?

Jules, that is one beautiful dash! I know some of you guys like thicker wheels, but I think there is no better feel or better look than a Nardi like in Steve's #46.

Here's another vintage Nardi, dated 10/74 - it measures 385mm or 15 1/4" - I prefer the somewhat smaller wheel on my cars.
I will eventually go on my 912 which apparently is serving a life term in body shop prison.
I sure like the improved horn button and fixture that's on Steve's wheel in #46 - where does one get one of those?

Must agree that stock is very nice. To keep things clear, your Nardi is not the same model Steve and I like.

Craig - I agree, the early Nardi wheels that are period correct - mid-sixties - generally larger diameter and thinner rim - look spectacular. The Nardi wheel that I show and the one above, at least mine, are aftermarket wheels from the '70s. The one in the very first picture in this thread I bought in the mid/late '70s for I think about $75 brand new, with the hub and horn button. I put it on my junk yard 65 C, then on my 68 912 and now it's on my SC Cab! It has some real sentimental value for me since it's been the steering wheel on every Porsche I've owned, except my recently purchased 66 912 which will get the identical wheel above.
I don't know if Porsche ever installed Nardi wheels at the factory? I believe Alfa did as I had a 63 Guila Spyder which looked cosmetically very similar to the aftermarket Nardis but with black plastic rims.
As I said earlier, I like the smaller size and the larger grip of these wheels, although I readily admit they are not as esthetically pleasing as the earlier Nardis. Nardi made these wheels in 15 1/4 inch and a (approx) 14" wheel which is definitely too small for a 356 as you need the larger steering wheel or the steering gets too heavy at low speed maneuvering, especially with larger tires/wheels.
