The 'B' wheel I re-wooded in black walnut. Mitered in nine sections like a Carrera wheel. I prefer the spoke design of the 'B' wheel over that of the 'C' wheel.

I’ve had wheelskins forever. Looks great, nice grip. Be sure to wear gloves when putting it on. That thin thread will do a job on your pinky when you pull the thread tight.

Good job, Mark. I too have a Wheelskins cover on mine. I like the larger diameter grip that it gives me. The wheel underneath is still in good shape. +1 on the gloves during the sewing operation.
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....

Thanks Wes. I prefer a skinnier wheel and when shaping the wood, got it somewhat too skinny such that there wasn't enough material to add finger bumps on the back side. I haven't lost my grip though! :D :D

Mark, that’s beautiful! I am not really a steering wheel junkie but yours grabbed my attention. I like the way it meets the spokes and the dark wood.

Question for Bruce Smith,
Your steering wheel looks smaller in diameter.
What is the diameter of that steering wheel.

Adam: I must be getting old I do not remember an ignition switch that close to the steering on the 540 series cars. Am I that old and forgetful?

That is not a Speedster, it's a Roadster.
