It is an Elva/Porsche -- allegedly 19 were made. Many more Elvas of roughly this configuration were made with other engine types

This is a photo of me standing inside the body of our Elva Porsche in 1975. I was just over a year old. And no I don't have a beer belly anymore.

Brett, how can you tell from that single photo that it is an Elva with a Porsche engine?

What type of car is this

#5 Post by Tim Havermans »

this car is on Display in the PROTOTYP Museum (link to pictures of the museum (and the car shown) can be found on my website).
Too bad I don't have a VIN number of the car, since it wasn't displayed
and the owners of the Museum were far to busy receiving congratulions so I just didn't want to bother them. In case any of you
has VIN of this particular Elva, I'd be glad to get it.

Barry[/quote]

It looks like an Elva -- and it has a Porsche script on the front and since it is on this forum and not on -- say -- the Coventry Climax Forum, I just assumed.

Those with more knowledge can probably point out other subtleties of the body work.

Its from the Belgium guys site and yes it is at the prototype museum, with the logo, so you gotta assume its real.

Barry:

Here's a clue: Can you see the name on the nose of the car? What does it say?
