bumper deco installation

#1 Post by Joseph Kuntze »

I am struggleing with the bumper deco installation for a t6 coupe. The trim that goes behind the aluminum strip (ie between the bumper and the deco strip) is being recalcitrant. Any tips how to get it to stay put? Also is the orientation in the manual correct; the little protrusion goes toward and under the aluminum edge of the deco ? Lastly the attatchment of the bumper ends to the fender brace , my car had no nuts in the bumper ends. I welded some onto some sheet metal and sort of pushed them into the bracket but is there a better way? Thanks in advance faithful, Joe

This is a picture of the bumper end with the tabbed weld nut that I got from a friend to repair my bumper.

List...with Dialup ( I do NOT get ISDN lines where I live) took every bit
of 17 full Minutes to load and see picture. Something is wrong with this new
railroad (format) for those of us who have been left in the "dark ages" by
modern technology. Robert T. Raucher Chico, (a Canyon) California USA.
PS.. I am sure there must be other frustrated readers of this "Hi Tech" new
format. Anyone in a position to explain...please chime in..

Do you have cell phone service where you are? If so you can get high speed internet service via cell phone. I know Sprint, for one, has a good service. I am quite sure they all have this service.

It is very reliable and with cell phone prices now its not all that expensive. Works with the hardware you already have. Worth looking into.

Bob

That was my fault. The picture I uploaded was 1.62 mb, a very large file
and one that the monitors had requested we not do. I noticed it took a lot
longer to upload than my "normal" pictures that I had taken. This
particular picture was emailed to me by a friend, and I assumed it was
similar in size to mine. The monitors have provided us with a tool to make these files smaller. I did not use it.
