If you are putting a sincro gear box in the car, it will not clear the "Bump" in the rear seats. That might explain the cut out. I reformed my '52 to clear the '53 sincro gear box I used. ………...Jim.

Hi Jim, yes the gearbox is from a slightly later drivetrain (early '53) so is the syncro type. Thanks for the heads up.
