GT Window Kit

#2 Post by David Rennie »

Well I paid too much for a set of plexi windows that arrived with no logo or hinges or pull straps or alloy pegs.

I paid from a UK supplier about:

Pegs cost about $50
Straps cost about $80
Windows cost about $350
Normal window rubbers $20

I had to use my old hinges and cut all holes etc to fit them.

I asked about the logos but still not been sorted and thats almost a year gone.

Plexi

#3 Post by Bil Brown »

I make/sell Plexi windows with the proper "Plexiglas 233 ~~~D-10" logo heat-stamped in place. My prices are: full door windows 50-59 $135/pr........door windows 60-65 $120/pr........door vent windows $45/pr.......rear quarter windows $85/pr......rear window 50-61 $195.........T6 rear $300........leather pull-up straps $75/pr........alum pegs $25/pr. I might even have a Speedster Plexi window left. I use 3/16" acrylic for all windows. Use your original hinges for the Plexi rear quarter windows...........bb#467 (0\I/0)

plexiglass windows

Russ has done it again, as he states, those are a "work of art". I can't imagine the time and effort that it took to produce those pieces. They may not be in your budget but you have to thank guys like Russ for going the extra mile to support out hobby. My guess is that he won't sell 10 sets per year but did it anyway because there was a market. We have the best vendors of any marque. KTF

David,

Fear not!
My 59 GT came with NO logo's on the plexiglas.
So not all GT's had the logo. It also does not have the spacers on the rear ¼ windows.

Just echoing what Tom had mentioned. Russ Rodriguez is a real stand up guy who is very passionate with his craft. I have some of the Plexi glass items mentioned above on my car.
The little details that other people tend to overlook does not escape him.

Kudos to Russ & Fibersteel ! :D
