Jerry: the electronic copy of the Kardex for my car and several of my friends are very clear. Perhaps the person that provided the copy of your Kardex to you can try again and get a better copy?

Gents. Thank you so much for the kind assistance. 1955 Speedster 80781 will live again. I now have the cars COA, Kardex, and Reutter Certificate of Authenticity and none agree. Life is confusing, but good. Hope to see all at the Lit Meet.

Jerry, keep all of that documentation and any other notes you have on it. That is the car's unique story and shouldn't be a detriment to its value IMHO.
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....

Do you have the reutter build book? That would be the most accurate I would think.

Notice the printing version down in the lower left? I have a list of over 50 such versions.

David - Theoretically, using Kardex info, a database of engine numbers could be built that correspond to VINs. This could be used to find the car that matches an engine. How difficult of a task would this be? I imagine it would involve manually combing through every Kardex.
