Hi Harry, I'm sure I am not alone when I say I like the pictures of the progress. Its looking great. Bet you can't wait for the maiden voyage. What kind of radio is that? Surely modern, but doesn't ruin the look of the dash.

Kevin, the radio is from Sierra Madre SMC.230.366.01-CCB RetroSound Long Beach Radio, 356's
Radio Style: Chrome Face Plate, Chrome Face & Buttons, Knob Style: 5

We replaced the knobs (white only) with original black knobs from old stock. Hands Free Blue Tooth USB Ports, Audio command and Sirius ready. I intend to mount the smallest IPad on a gooseneck pedestal attached under the dash for a GPS. the iPad will be removed when i want to show the car. Thanks for the kind words

Andy Daughtery says, “Pistons, rods, wrist pins, piston clips, bearings all balanced to less than 1/10 of a gram. Rotating mass balanced to within 1 gram. Factory allows 15 grams. Rotating mass includes above and crankshaft, flywheel, front pulley, and clutch pressure plate.
Its balanced within an inch of its life. Factory allows 15 grams. Rotating mass are crankshaft, flywheel, clutch pressure plate, rods, pistons , wrist pins that hold pistons to rods. Clips that hold wrist pins in and bearings on rods. All that rotates together and can be 15 grams out of balance according to factory specs. Your parts are balanced down to 1/10th gram. Hopefully thats how you get a nickel to balance while running.
I weight each piece individually and remove material from part until it weighs the same as the rest. I.e. 4 pistons, 4 wrist pins, 4 rods, 8 piston clips and 4 rod bearings. When they all weigh the same i combine each assembly and weigh for total weigh. Pics show total weight of each assembly.
When all combined there will be less than 1/10 gram variation in rotating mass.
A gyroscope has 0 variance in rotating mass. You have 1/10 gram.“

Don’t make the mistake someone made with my brand new OEM rods, they were ”balanced” all to same weight! But they need to be balanced so that big ends AND top end have same weight.

Rods are not so easy to balance or actually the problem is to weight correctly the ends.

Mario, I ordered the Deco strips from Bob. The only thing is you have to finish the ends yourself. But the guy doing the work on my car (Andy Daugherty) can handle it no problem. thanks for the heads up. He appears much less expensive than Stoddard. I'll put pics on-site when the bumpers are finished. See the attached Deco Strip install provided by Bob at GT Werk.
