Bob Garretson is a Silicon Valley mid peninsula guy. One of the things he did was to take an old "59 coupe, buy all the Carrera aluminum panels for it, take it to the Porsche parade some time in the 1960s and win the autocross. Way back when, Bob, Jim Perrin, Bruce Anderson, and Chuck Forge were pillars of the PCA in Silicon Valley. Later on, he got involved in international racing through Garretson Enterprises. There's a lot to Bob beyond the FAI stuff.

I don't think so, when I was talking to him at Ski Roundtop he had recently moved from Cali to VA to be closer to family.
