Ken: there are a few listed on The Samba. Search "356 Porsche seat rod".

If you are referring to this:

That's the 'Nader Knob', not the recliner adjustment. Two different knobs.

Ron you can find a round plastic knob of appropriate size on the net and buy 10 for the cost of one sold as a 356 part

I believe that totally "round" style knob is specific to the seats in the 1965 C.

The round knob is specific to late 356C seats. Parts catalog illus below. In early 911 it was changed to a tulip-shaped knob.

Sorry, I misread what you were looking for. McMaster Carr carries the knobs. They are a bit too shiny and have a molding line on them but I chuck them up in a drill press and use wet/dry sand paper to get the proper look.

Mike, sure be nice to know what part number to order on McMaster-Carr.

Also, where do you get the tolerance ring to hold the knob in place? or maybe just glue it on?

The knobs I've obtained have a metal threaded insert. Part #62195K34 with M4 brass threaded inser in black phenolic plastic.

Check it put to see if that will work. Ed Rutherford of Klasse 356 had some in stock.

What knob for a late B, or shouldn’t my B have that feature?

My Nay 30, 1963 B has the release knob on the passenger seat. I'm not sure when the round knobs were used verses the tulip knobs. I seem to recall a thread on the topic.
