Re: Chuck Stoddard
I just confirmed it with Neil Goldberg. I talked to him two weeks ago and had a visit set up for November, heartbroken is not the word!

Re: Chuck Stoddard
Tom Tate, Tom Gentz, and I were "Co-Chairs" of the 2012 East Coast Holiday where we were very honored to have Chuck, as well as his classmate at MIT, Karl Ludvigsen, who introduced his book Porsche Origin of The Species at the closing banquet. It was a very memorable moment when Chuck and Karl met (unscripted) at the registration desk.

Re: Chuck Stoddard
Our hobby owes a great debt to Chuck. In the early years when the Factory went onto the new 911 he saw the need to help those of us that were still keeping our Tubs on the road. Along with a few others he came to our rescue when nobody else cared. Godspeed Chuck, keep your speed up and KTF.

Sad to hear this. Great contributor to 356 community. Really enjoyed his banquet speech at the Cleveland Holiday along with a few other fun encounters.

Re: Chuck Stoddard
By the early '70s, it was either Chuck or the hope that the factory over-bought and had remaining stock on 356 parts. Or EASY.Tom Tate wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 7:37 pm Our hobby owes a great debt to Chuck. Re: Chuck Stoddard
About 20 years ago my friend was at Chuck’s house and showed him his broken 1959 hand throttle knob. Chuck disappeared into the basement and came back with a new whole assembly, and said “early Christmas “

Re: Chuck Stoddard
Well said Tom. Chuck was president of PCA when I joined in '72, and I remember reading his president's messages in the Pano. Chuck Stoddard's vision and initiative has saved countless 356s from the scrap heaps. RIP.Tom Tate wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 7:37 pm Our hobby owes a great debt to Chuck.
