I need figure 7-10

#1 Post by David Aronson »

Hey all,
My parts Katalog is missing pages 7-10 1-10. I am installing my front horn grills (below bumper). I am struggling with all the parts. Could someone take a picture of the diagram page 7-10.
Thanks

David: I found a diagram and a link to a previous 356 Talk thread by Googling "356 Porsche horn grill". I know there are a lot of pieces but it is fairly straight forward on first assembling the rubber buffers and aluminum strips and bolts on the grills then inserting the aluminum strips through the holes in the body. They are held in place on the inside of the body by the somewhat crescent-shaped metal plates. The strips go through these plates and are folded over holding the grills in place.

Opened the thread imagining it was some take-off on the old joke about the tyro at the parts store trying to buy the "710" cap: "OIL" upside-down

Ah, yes, the elusive 710 cap..."rare, James Dean, Carrera, Speedster..."

Would be nice to see where that rubber piece goes.

The small rubber pieces go onto the edges of the grill slats. The thin aluminum strips go through the rubber pieces and the slats then exit through the holes in the car to be attached with the metal plates.

I took some pics of the lower grills. PM me with your email address and I will send them to you. Sorry I am computer-inept and don't know how to post them here.
