Repo Sun Visor sticker shock
Ok, I have to ask. why are these so expensive? I noticed I have some non standard black ones on my 356B T6, and now I know why. Are these made out of rare 356 fairy dust?

Re: Repo Sun Visor sticker shock
Brad Ripley will have a better answer, but I imagine it goes something like this:
Expensive to find or duplicate the materials
Expensive to create the tooling
Very time consuming to bring to market
Potential sales are low
Unit cost is high due to these factors

$250 for a pair from Stoddard. Not that bad.

Richard I invite you to do a Google search on how much it would cost you to replace a sun visor in your daily driver. For my 2013 Toyota Highlander cost is $132. Many members have restored original visors at a fraction of the cost of new reproductions. viewtopic.php?t=27748

My point was Name me a 60-160K car that you can buy a pair of reproduction or stock sun visors for $250. Martin just paid $125 for a Hyundai sun visor.

Re: Repo Sun Visor sticker shock
who pays $125 for a Hyundai sun visor? no one:

look, I am not going to debate the quality or the workmanship involved. I just feel they are a little high for something that has no electronics in it and its relatively diminutive size.
I actually think 356 repo parts are, for the most part, priced well, these just seem a little higher then norm, just an observation. I am sure they worth the money for those that pay for it. I guess I'll wait for a sale.

Re: Repo Sun Visor sticker shock
Richard, I sent you a PM about some original T6B sun visors I have for sale. Did you see it?
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.
