I've had a back-order with Stoddard for a while, not sure when they'll have them. Let me know if you make some, Jay.

Those in need of the hold down should call Augustine at Autos International (972) 742-6618. I just spoke to him (he is just finishing up my new
Cab top). Autos International has been making their own hold downs for customers who need them, and he said it was okay to pass this info
onto the group.

Spike,
Yes, I removed the top, packed it in a strong cardboard box, and sent it to them via UPS ($377 including ins) in July. They stripped and painted the frame, made a new top with padding, and a matching headliner. I just received pictures today of my top on their jig. They will have it finished this week, and UPS it back to me. I will have it back together in time for Flagstaff.

The conv top bracket, NLA-561-752-00, is presently in the design stage with the CAD work done and with the vendor building tooling. This new production will exactly conform to original, especially with regard to the angle of the threaded part. Delivery is expected in 30 - 60 days. Watch the Stoddard and Stoddard NLA websites for info.

Thanks Brad! I'll use Autos International as a backup plan. Spike - Autos intl. did my cabriolet top this spring. They did an exceptional job.

just called Autos International and they have them, 230.00 a pr. everyone else sells them for around 13.00 ea. IF they had them, quite a difference. I'm wondering if anyone has one with striped threads or something that I could use for a pattern to make some. if anyone has the size of the material and the thread size that would help. I can free hand it from the picture. it would be nice to have a copy to make a die from to form the bend.

$230 can't be right. Are you sure they're talking about the same thing?

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback on cab top installation.
Spencer, the new top I have for my '58 cab is the zip-out window style.
Who did yours?
