Boomerang seat hinges

Would like your opinion on the boomerang seat hinges :

Was the prolongation on the boomerang hinges as shown in the picture standard for 53 models ?

Hi,
made in balsa wood (very light) original for '52 cars.
Here are the originals (unfortunately three pcs are broken)

Hi Tom,

These seats with the curved backs and wood side trim were standard on bent-window cars through at least coupe chassis number 50097. They switched to the standard straight-back seats without the curved wood side trim at least by 50106. So Jan 1953 onward. And these seats were used through 1957.

Thanks , clear now , the earlier seats have curved backs

What part of the boomerang was balsa wood?
