Question for the Pre-A guru's
Chrome exhaust tips a rolled square edge Or are they suppose to be a rounded edge.

Joris where does set screw go on chrome tip? Was set screw used on later T-1 type cars?

Sorry, these aren't the greatest images but I think you'll get the idea.
A steel rivet nut was attached to the tube with a slotted round head set screw to secure the tube to the exhaust pipe(s).
On T-1 engines that had them that was the original arrangement for the chrome tips through 1957.
The set screw was deleted on factory replacement tips. Instead, a couple dimples were pressed into the tube wall to provide a tight press-fit on the exhaust pipe(s).
